From MPU parent leader, Rodolfo Aguilar:
On Wednesday December 6th, the Boston School Committee voted unanimously in favor of changing the school day for high school students — impacting almost every family in the city beginning next academic year. (2017-2018)

The vote was approved to change high school schedules to give teens an extra sleep but will result in changing schedules across the city — and many families were blindsided by the decision. Massachusetts Parents United will be hosting a meeting at the East Boston Social Center on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at 6:30pm to discuss the impact of these changes directly with Superintendent Tommy Chang.
Parents have the right to be heard and voice their opinion about the proposed changes that will be impacting our families and communities directly — and the voices of Latino families in Boston MUST be represented. Our perspective is crucial to what happens next so we all must get involved.
